Julia is a Postdoctoral Psychological Resident concentrating on counseling and comprehensive psychological assessment. Following her doctoral degree from Loma Linda University in 2026, she completed her internship at Columbia Valley Community Health (CVCH) in Wenatchee, WA, providing therapy, consultation, and assessments for ADHD and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in primary care. Her clinical background centers on pediatric and adolescent populations across medical and school settings.
Background and Experience:
Julia’s clinical journey spans a diverse range of specialized environments serving youth and families, including a continuation high school in San Bernardino, an intensive outpatient program for co-occurring mental health and substance use conditions, pediatric neurology, and a Southern California children's hospital for youth managing co-occurring medical and mental health needs. Throughout her training, she has frequently worked within organizations dedicated to serving under-resourced communities, with notable experience supporting Latine populations and families.
Grounded in a holistic, biopsychosocial-spiritual framework, Julia integrates person-centered and humanistic approaches with evidence-based modalities—including CBT, TF-CBT, DBT skills, MAP, Solution-Focused Therapy, Behavioral Parent Training/PCIT, and strength-based care.
Special Interests and Services:
Julia works with children, adolescents, and caregivers to strengthen family dynamics, build emotional resilience, and foster positive self-concepts. Her clinical focus covers trauma, depression, anxiety-related experiences, behavioral concerns, and the stress associated with medical conditions and health-related behaviors (such as sleep difficulties, chronic pain, and related adjustment concerns). Julia is also dedicated to supporting neurodivergent youth (including those with ASD and ADHD) and their families to better understand their unique strengths, navigate environmental challenges, and utilize practical parent coaching.
In psychological assessment, Julia likewise aims to help youth gain a clearer understanding of themselves and their strengths. She views testing as a collaborative journey that equips parents, caregivers, and schools to meet children where they are and establish tailored next steps toward future goals. Outside of work, Julia loves spending time with her loved ones, hiking, drawing, and relaxing with her cats.
