Background and Experience:
Eli works with clients of all ages and backgrounds yet specializes in working with adolescents and has over three years experience working with students. His time as a teacher, coach, and social worker drew him to the field of counseling. During his graduate school counseling program he received the School Counseling Mental Health Research Award for his master’s thesis research project study of over 140 high school students. Eli is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate, a National Certified Counselor, a member of the CSI National Counseling Honors Society, the American School Counselor Association, and the Washington Mental Health Counselors Association.
Special Interests and Services:
Eli takes a collaborative and integrated approach to counseling, ensuring clients feel welcome, at-home and supported within a positive and non-judgemental environment. Counseling frameworks such as Person-Centered Theory, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solutions Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Trauma Informed Care, and Cultural-Relational Theory are drawn upon in order to best support clients' individual needs. A few of Eli’s counseling specialties include: grief counseling, anxiety, academic advocacy, men’s issues, school counseling, depression, trauma, and relational issues.
In his free time Eli enjoys playing soccer, classical guitar, board games, going on hikes, reading, climbing, and spending time with family and friends.
