More Information
-
For children, clinicians utilize approaches such as art therapy, play therapy, CBT, and exposure therapy, and can also provide psychological and academic assessments for children as young as five.
-
Adolescence brings dramatic biological, psychological, and social changes. While the emotional and reactive parts of the brain are fully developed, the prefrontal cortex—responsible for judgment, planning, and impulse control—matures much later. Combined with shifting social priorities and high modern expectations, teens often experience heightened emotions, risk-taking, and stress. Avanti aims to provide education, support, and therapy during this critical stage to help adolescents transition successfully into adulthood.
-
The years following high school can also be marked by uncertainty and distress as young adults lose the built-in structure and community that school provides. Expectations to achieve, form relationships, and navigate economic realities—especially in high-pressure regions—can leave many feeling overwhelmed or directionless. Avanti offers guidance, coping skills, and therapeutic support to help young adults and their families manage this transition and build healthy foundations for the future.

Adulthood brings a unique set of pressures and uncertainties. Beyond managing careers, relationships, health, finances, and identity, adults today face rapid economic shifts, technological change, and an increasingly competitive, fast-paced culture. The weight of these expectations often leads to burnout, emotional overwhelm, chronic stress, and feelings of stagnation or isolation. Counseling can provide a structured space to gain perspective, develop coping skills, and build emotional resilience. Avanti supports adults in navigating these realities with greater clarity and confidence, helping them move toward lives that feel meaningful, sustainable, and aligned with their values.
-
Families are understood as interconnected systems in which one member’s distress affects all. When conflict, stress, or isolation arise, the family system can break down. Avanti uses a family systems approach to restore communication, reduce conflict, and support a healthy environment for parents, teens, and young adults.
